Lava has launched the Virat V1 Pro 5G. Positioned as an online-first offering under the brand’s Virat lineup, the device targets consumers seeking extended battery life, reliable performance, and clean software at an accessible price point.
Display and Design
The smartphone features a 6.745-inch HD+ display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a High Brightness Mode (HBM) reaching up to 550 nits. The chassis is finished in a glossy exterior and comes in two color options: Sikkim Midnight and Spiti Frost. The device also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, the Virat V1 Pro 5G is powered by the 6nm octa-core Unisoc T8200 processor, delivering an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 500,000 points.
The phone has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 6,000mAh battery paired with 18W fast charging via USB Type-C.
Camera Capabilities
The rear imaging setup is led by a 50MP primary AI camera equipped with shooting modes such as Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Film, Pro Mode, and Motion Photo. It supports dual-view video recording and video capture up to 2K resolution at 30fps. On the front, an 8MP sensor handles selfies and video calls.
Software and Connectivity
The Virat V1 Pro 5G ships with a bloatware-free version of Android 16. Lava has committed to providing one major Android OS upgrade alongside two years of security updates.
Connectivity features include dual 5G SIM support, Bluetooth 5.4, and a hybrid SIM tray (Dual Nano SIM or single SIM plus microSD). Security options include a side-mounted fingerprint reader and AI-assisted face unlock.

It is scheduled to go on sale via Flipkart starting August 31, 2026, at 12 PM, with an offline retail rollout planned for September under the model name Shark 2 Pro 5G.
