realme has officially expanded its audio portfolio with the introduction of the realme Buds T500 Pro. The new true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds feature active noise cancellation (ANC), high-resolution audio support, and multi-device connectivity, targeting users looking for a versatile everyday audio device.
Audio Performance and Noise Cancellation
The realme Buds T500 Pro are equipped with a 12.4mm Mega Titanized Driver, which the company states is designed to emphasize deep bass while maintaining clarity in higher frequencies. For high-quality audio transmission, the earbuds support SBC, AAC, and LHDC 5.0 Bluetooth codecs.
A central feature of the Buds T500 Pro is its Active Noise Cancellation system. The earbuds offer up to 50dB of noise reduction, utilizing a 3-mic system on each earbud (totaling 6 microphones) to isolate voice and minimize background sounds. The ANC system includes multiple adaptable modes—such as Smart, Max, Moderate, and Mild—allowing users to adjust the level of noise cancellation based on their environment.
Connectivity and Smart Features
Operating on Bluetooth 6.1, the earbuds have an effective range of up to 10 meters. Notably, the Buds T500 Pro support multipoint connection across three devices, allowing users to pair and switch between a smartphone, tablet, and laptop without needing to disconnect and reconnect manually.
realme has also integrated software-assisted features into the user experience:
- Live Translation: An app-supported face-to-face translation tool designed to assist with bilingual conversations.
- Find My Earbuds: A tracking feature to help locate misplaced earphones via the companion app.
Battery Life and Charging
The charging case houses a 530mAh battery, while each earbud contains a 62mAh battery. According to realme’s specifications (measured at 50% volume in normal mode):
- Earbuds alone: Up to 13.5 hours of continuous music playback.
- Total playback (with charging case): Up to 56 hours.
The device charges via a standard Type-C interface. A full charge for the earbuds takes approximately one hour, while fully charging both the earbuds and the case requires two hours.
Design and Durability
Visually, the earbuds adopt a stemmed in-ear design and will be available in several colorways, including a distinctive yellow and black two-tone option, alongside standard white and blue variants.
For durability, the realme Buds T500 Pro carry an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, making them suitable for workouts and light rain.
