OnePlus India expands service network and refocuses on direct-to-consumer strategy

OnePlus India has announced a 50% expansion of its after-sales service infrastructure, scheduled to take effect in April 2026. This move will integrate OPPO India’s established service network to broaden support access for OnePlus users. Alongside this infrastructure growth, the company stated it will prioritize its direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels within the Indian market.

Service Infrastructure Growth

The expansion initiative will increase the number of authorized service centers from 400 to over 600. This will extend the brand’s service coverage to 500 cities nationwide, increasing density in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. According to the announcement, this integration aims to provide users with reduced travel distances and shorter wait times while maintaining standard response commitments, the guarantee of genuine spare parts, and certified technician standards.

Strategic Focus and Operations

OnePlus indicated a renewed focus on its direct-to-consumer model—the primary sales channel utilized during the brand’s initial entry into India. The company stated that this approach is intended to deepen engagement with its core demographic of tech enthusiasts and digital-first consumers. The strategy also aims to support competitive pricing and a stronger focus on product innovation tailored to the Indian market.

The company also clarified its ongoing operational status and upcoming product roadmap:

  • Uninterrupted Support: All existing warranties, software updates, and standard user commitments will continue without interruption.
  • Ongoing Operations: Product development and community initiatives will remain fully operational in the region.
  • Upcoming Release: OnePlus is scheduled to launch the OnePlus Nord 6 on April 7th. The company notes that the device is engineered to deliver flagship-level performance and speed.
