London-based consumer technology company Nothing has officially opened its first flagship store in India, as it had announced. Located in Bengaluru, the new retail space was inaugurated today by CEO Carl Pei and co-founder and India president Akis Evangelidis.
The launch represents a significant development in the brand’s physical expansion within the country, aiming to foster deeper connections with its Indian customer base.
Design and Architecture
Spanning 5,032 square feet, the new store is designed to reflect Nothing’s industrial and transparent design philosophy. Drawing inspiration from the retro-futurism of 1970s assembly lines and workshops, the interior aesthetic emphasizes raw structural elements.
Materials such as concrete, aluminum, steel, and glass are left unadorned, adhering to a concept where the structure itself serves as the spectacle. This design choice aligns with the brand’s ethos of transparency—extending beyond product hardware to the retail environment itself—where form, function, and process are openly displayed.
In-Store Experience and Offerings
The flagship location is positioned as an immersive hub rather than a traditional retail outlet. It houses the complete portfolio of Nothing and CMF products, alongside official apparel and merchandise.
Key features of the store include:
- Creator Studio: A dedicated space for creators to film unboxing videos and hands-on content.
- Interactive Elements: The store incorporates gamified elements such as claw machines, vending machines, and conveyor-belt product displays.
- Exclusive Products: Visitors will have access to customized Nothing products available exclusively at this location.
- Community Zone: A designated hangout area designed for events and informal interaction, providing complimentary beverages and snacks to visitors.
Strategic Context and Market Growth
The opening of the Bengaluru store follows the brand’s first retail location in Soho, London, and precedes planned openings in New York City and Tokyo. This physical expansion comes amidst a period of significant growth for the company in the region.
According to data from Counterpoint Research, Nothing has been the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India for seven of the last eight quarters. The company attributes this momentum to a community-first strategy and a distinctive design language aimed at building long-term brand affinity.
Location and Hours
The store is located at 660/1, 100 Feet Road, 1st Stage, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560038. It will be open to the public daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Akis Evangelidis, co-founder and India President, Nothing said:
Opening our first flagship store is a major milestone for Nothing, cementing our position as one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands in India. More than just a point of transaction, we intentionally didn’t want to build a conventional retail store. Instead, we designed this space to offer our customers a unique, immersive experience. Our goal is to build understanding, trust, and lasting relationships with our community. The Indian market highly values hands-on engagement and design-led thinking, and this store will be the platform where we invite curiosity, clearly tell our brand story, and cultivate a hub for future launches, collaborations, and community-focused experiences.
