Xiaomi has introduced the REDMI Turbo 5 smartphone in China, along with the Turbo 5 Max in China, as it had promised.
Design
In terms of design, the REDMI Turbo 5 features a metal frame and glass back panel, complemented by a large rounded corner, narrow bezel, and weight balance scheme, balancing texture and durability while improving the feel in hand.
It is available in three colors: Shadow Black, Light Sea Green, and Auspicious Cloud White. The phone has IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.
Battery
It has a built-in 7560mAh battery, and supports 100W wired fast charging + 27W wired reverse charging, while also being compatible with the 100W PPS fast charging protocol.
Performance
In terms of performance, the REDMI Turbo 5 is among the first to feature the Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor (4nm process), coupled with LPDDR5 Ultra + UFS4.1, and adopts the same 3D ice-sealed circulating cold pump cooling system as flagship models. It also features the latest “Rampage Engine,” claiming “integrated CPU/GPU/DDR frequency tuning.”
Other features include, kilometer-level wireless connectivity, Apple device connectivity, file transfer, and notification sharing.
Display
The REDMI Turbo 5 features the same Super Sunlight Screen as the Max, using M10 luminescent material with a peak brightness of 3500 nits and supporting Xiaomi’s Green Mountain Eye Protection feature, but comes with a smaller 6.59″ screen.
