Along with the REDMI Turbo 5 series, Xiaomi also introduced the REDMI Buds 8 Pro, the company’s latest TWS earbuds, at its event, as it had promised. It comes with dual 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers and an 11mm titanium-plated dynamic driver, promising high-quality audio output.
The REDMI Buds 8 Pro support Hi-Res Audio Wireless and the LHDC-V5 codec, alongside MIHC (MI High Clarity Codec) 2.0, Xiaomi’s self-developed high-definition codec. MIHC 2.0 is currently supported on the following models: REDMI Turbo 4, REDMI K80 Pro, and K80 Extreme Edition. The latest Turbo 5 series devices are not yet supported, but this may be added via a software update.
Powered by Xiaomi’s latest Deep Space Noise Cancelling 3.0 technology, the buds offer flagship-grade noise reduction depth of 55dB and a noise reduction bandwidth of 5kHz, along with 95dB ambient call noise reduction and 12m/s wind noise resistance.
The charging case has unique LED lighting that shows the current battery level when opening or closing the top cover, or when the charging button is clicked. The buds can last up to 8.5 hours, and along with the case, they offer up to 35 hours of battery life, with support for fast charging.
