Infinix NOTE Edge with 6.78″ 1.5K 120Hz curved AMOLED display, 7.2mm sleek design, 6500mAh battery announced

Infinix has introduced NOTE Edge, the company’s latest smartphone in the NOTE series for the global markets. It emphasizes battery endurance and display technology within an ultra-slim chassis.

The device introduces several “firsts” for the brand, including the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 platform and a new high-density battery architecture.

Design and Display

The NOTE Edge is characterized by its slim form factor, measuring 7.2mm in thickness and weighing 185g. The device features a “3D curved” design with a specialized “Pearl Light Ripple Shadow” exterior. It is available in four colorways: Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, Shadow Black, and a Silk Green variant that utilizes a polyurethane process to mimic a brushed, leather-like texture.

The front of the device houses a 1.5K resolution 3D curved display. Infinix reports a peak brightness of 4500 nits and ultra-narrow symmetrical bezels measuring 1.87mm. Durability features include Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i protection and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. For audio, the device includes dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL.

Performance and Connectivity

The NOTE Edge creates a new benchmark in its segment as the first smartphone globally to utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset. According to Infinix, the processor scores over 810,000 on AnTuTu V11 benchmarks and supports 90fps gameplay for titles such as Honor of Kings.

Connectivity is supported by Infinix’s Ultra Powerful Signal (UPS) 3.0 AI technology. This system is designed to optimize low-frequency bands in high-congestion or weak-signal areas, such as subways, basements, and industrial environments.

Battery and Charging

A central feature of the NOTE Edge is its 6500mAh battery, the largest capacity Infinix has integrated into a phone to date.5 Despite the high capacity, the battery fits within the 7.2mm body due to advanced packaging technologies.

Infinix claims the battery utilizes a “self-repairing” system that uses dynamic recrystallization to maintain battery health. The company states the battery can retain over 80% of its capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, roughly equating to six years of typical usage. The device supports 45W fast charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in 27 minutes.

Camera and Software

The rear camera module is headlined by a customized 50MP main sensor (1/2-inch size) designed for low-light performance. New imaging features include a “Live Photo” mode, which captures short video clips with audio alongside static images, and AI-integrated editing tools.

The device runs on XOS 16, based on Android 16. It features the “FOLAX” AI assistant, accessed via a customizable side button, which can perform screen analysis, translation, and summarization. It promises 3 major Android updates (up to XOS 19) and 5 years of security patches.
