xAI has rolled out Grok Business and Grok Enterprise, expanding access to its Grok AI platform for organizational use. The company said the new offerings are designed to enable employees to use Grok at work with enterprise-grade security, privacy protections, and centralized administrative controls.
xAI stated that customer data used in Grok Business and Grok Enterprise is not used for model training. According to the company, all business data remains owned by the customer and is protected through built-in security measures. Both plans offer high rate limits and access to advanced Grok models within a shared team platform.
Grok Business and Grok Enterprise
Grok Business is designed for small-to-medium teams and is available through a self-serve onboarding process.
Grok Enterprise is intended for larger organizations and includes all Grok Business features, along with additional identity, security, and organizational management capabilities such as Custom Single Sign-On (SSO) and Directory Sync (SCIM).
Secure collaboration and data sharing
Grok Business allows employees to work with AI while maintaining access controls. Users can connect company tools such as Google Drive, generate outputs, and share conversations with teammates. Shared links are accessible only to approved users, based on defined permissions.
Accessing company knowledge with Apps
Grok supports access to company knowledge and tools through Apps, starting with Google Drive. xAI stated that:
- Permission awareness is enforced by design, ensuring Grok follows existing Google Drive access rules
- Citations are included in responses, linking directly to source documents with quote previews and highlighted relevant sections
Grok also supports agentic search using xAI’s Collections API through Projects. This capability is intended for scenarios where Grok relies on large document repositories, such as legal documentation or financial datasets.
Administration and team management
Grok Business teams can be managed through the xAI console. Administrators can invite users, manage access controls, and monitor usage from a single interface.
Enterprise tier capabilities
The Enterprise tier includes all Grok Business features, along with:
- Custom Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Directory Sync (SCIM)
- Advanced audit and security controls
- Increased access to advanced models, including Grok 3, Grok 4, and Grok 4 Heavy
- Enterprise-grade security measures, including SOC 2 compliance
- Data encryption at rest and in transit
- Compliance with GDPR and CCPA
Enterprise customers also gain access to Apps integrations that allow searching across tools such as Google Drive and xAI Collections directly within the chat interface.
Enterprise Vault for enhanced security
xAI also offers Enterprise Vault for customers with additional security requirements. Enterprise Vault enables Grok usage on grok.com with customer-controlled encryption and data isolation.
Enterprise Vault includes:
- Dedicated data plane
- Application-level encryption
- Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK)
xAI stated that data in Enterprise Vault is encrypted in transit and at rest, with encryption keys fully controlled by the customer and isolated from other organizations.

Enterprise and Enterprise Vault plans also include:
- Custom role-based access control
- Flexible organizational structures
- Advanced audit and security controls
- Dedicated onboarding and ongoing customer support
Planned updates
xAI said upcoming updates will include:
- Additional integrations with company applications
- More advanced and customizable agents for business use
- Improved sharing and collaboration features
The company added that enterprise customers will continue to provide input on Grok’s product roadmap.
