motorola introduced the edge 70 in PANTONE Lily Pad, PANTONE Gadget Grey and PANTONE Bronze Green colours last month. Today, it has introduced the smartphones in new Pantone Color of the Year 2026, PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer.
This release marks a continuation of the company’s multi-year partnership with Pantone and introduces a new collaboration with Swarovski.
Design Philosophy: Cloud Dancer and Swarovski
The design of the new edge 70 is centered around the concept of balance and simplicity in an increasingly digital world. Motorola has selected PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer, an airy white hue, to characterize the device. According to the brand, this color choice is intended to represent clarity and “softness over spectacle,” offering a visual counterpoint to the hyper-productivity often associated with modern technology.
Elevating the aesthetic further, Motorola has integrated crystals from Swarovski into the phone’s design. These crystals are embedded within the device, contrasting with a quilted, leather-inspired back panel. The company states that this combination of materials is designed to merge craftsmanship with technology, creating a device that serves as an “object of clarity.”
While the focus of this special edition is largely aesthetic, the device retains the core performance features of the standard motorola edge 70 and a slim and portable profile.
This special edition edge 70 joins The Brilliant Collection, a series of devices launched by Motorola earlier this year in partnership with Swarovski. This collection focuses on premium materials and craftsmanship, targeting the luxury segment of the consumer electronics market.
By combining the trend forecasting of Pantone with the jewelry craftsmanship of Swarovski, Motorola aims to position the edge 70 not just as a communication tool, but as a lifestyle accessory designed to integrate seamlessly into the rhythm of modern life.

The motorola edge 70 Cloud Dancer Pantone Color of the Year 2026 featuring crystals by Swarovski will be available in select markets worldwide. We can expect this edition to launch in India since the India site shows it, which should also get the standard edition of the phone this December.
