vivo has started teasing the launch of S50 Pro mini in the S50 series in China as the successor to the S30 Pro mini which was introduced back in May. vivo’s Han Boxio has confirmed some of the features of the phone.
It is calling it “Battle Angel” since it is a compact phone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC with 3 million points on AnTuTu, more than 1 million points higher than previous mid-range flagship phones. It has also confirmed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS4.1 storage.
The phone will feature a second-generation 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that unlocks instantly even with wet hands, and it will be the first in the price range to include the sensor as standard across the entire S50 series.
A new vivo phone with model number V2528A passed 3C certification earlier this month revealing 90W fast charging, and this is expected to be an S50 series phone. The vivo S50 series are expected to launch in China in early December, and we should know the exact launch date in the coming days.
