Sony announced the Xperia P and Xperia U at MWC earlier this week at MWC, and Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for these devices. The Xperia P has 4-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine and uses WhiteMagic display technology for an Ultra-bright power efficient viewing experience, 8MP auto focus camera with Geo-tagging. The Xperia U is the mid-range devices that has 3.5-inch scratch-resistant TFT Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 5MP camera with HD video recording.
Both these phones are powered by 1 GHz STE U8500 dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) (Upgrade to Android 4, Ice Cream Sandwich, planned in Q2 2012).
Other features include, 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth, NFC, aGPS. The black version of the Xperia U comes with black/pink exchangeable caps, the white version comes with white/yellow exchangeable caps.
The Sony Xperia P is now available for pre-order at £315 (£378 inc. VAT) from Clove UK and the Sony Xperia U is on pre-order at £199 (£238.80 inc. VAT) from Clove. These phones are expected to ship starting 23rd April. The Sony Xpeira S that went on pre-order last month should be available next week in UK.
