Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has launched new Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) packs that enable eligible prepaid customers to connect to the BSNL network in select locations. The service supports voice, data, and SMS usage within the same telecom circle.
ICR Service
Jio’s ICR service allows users on supported prepaid recharges to access BSNL’s network for calling, messaging, and data usage. After recharge, these plans remain in a queued state and activate automatically when the customer performs the first ICR-related activity, such as making a call, sending an SMS, or using mobile data. Once activated, the plan remains valid for its 28-day duration.
Usage Conditions and Restrictions
The ICR entitlements apply exclusively to the BSNL ICR network.
- Usage on the Jio network is outside the scope of these recharges.
- Usage on any other operator, including Airtel or Vi, is not allowed.
- Only customers with an active ICR pack can connect to the BSNL network.
In emergency ICR scenarios, temporary usage may be enabled from the customer’s existing plan balance.
Circle Coverage, ICR Plans, and Availability
The BSNL ICR service is currently restricted to the Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh (MP & CG) circle, and the entitlements apply only at supported locations within this region. Jio offers two prepaid recharges that provide access to BSNL’s ICR network:
- Rs. 196 Pack: 1000 ICR voice minutes, 2 GB ICR data, 1000 SMS, 28-day validity
- Rs. 396 Pack: 1000 ICR voice minutes, 10 GB ICR data, 1000 SMS, 28-day validity
Both packs stay in a queued state after recharge and automatically activate on the first usage event involving voice, SMS, or data on the BSNL network. These recharges are available to Jio prepaid customers in the MP & CG circle through the Jio website, MyJio app, and authorized recharge outlets.
