Samsung has launched the Galaxy A17 5G smartphone in India, as the successor to last year’s A16 5G. It still has a 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a notch, and the India version gets the Exynos 1330 SoC replacing the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC.
It retains the 50MP main + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro camera and a 13MP front camera. The phone runs Android 15 with One UI 7 on top, and will get 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and the back uses a Glass Fiber reinforced polymer.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support, and comes with a 25W charger in the box. The phone has become slightly thinner and lighter compared to the A16 5G, and the camera design is new, which are the major changes.

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G comes in Black, Blue and Grey colours and is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, the 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs. Rs 20,499 and the top-end 8GB + 256GB costs Rs. 23,499.
It is now available from Samsung India e-store, Amazon and Flipkart online and offline stores.
