Update: vivo has confirmed the launch of V60 smartphone in India on August 12th. It has also confirmed 50MP main camera with Sony IMX766 sensor, 50MP telephoto camera with Sony IMX882 sensor and a 50MP front camera. It will feature IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, confirmed the company. It promises up to 27% faster CPU, 30% stronger GPU and 26% boost in gaming efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the vivo V50.
Earlier: vivo has started teasing the launch of V60 smartphone in India as the successor to V50. The teaser shows ZEISS optics, and up to 100x zoom.
vivo says that this will be the slimmest smartphone in the 6500mAh battery category. It will come in Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue and Mist Gray colours.
It also shows triple rear cameras for the phone, which should be 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 50MP front camera, similar to the vivo S30 model in China.
The company has also teased equal-depth quad curved screen. The phone should finally switch to Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, after using Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the past few models.
The phone is expected to get a 6.67″ 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED screen, retain IP68 and IP69 dust and waterproof ratings from the V50.
It will be sold on Flipkart, vivo India online store and offline stores. We should know more details in the coming days.
