Sony Alpha 1 II full frame mirror-less camera launched in India

Sony India has launched the second-generation Alpha™ 1 II, a flagship full-frame mirrorless camera powered by Sony’s latest AI processing unit. Building on the Alpha 9 III’s innovations, the Alpha 1 II delivers enhanced performance in a lightweight, ergonomic body weighing approximately 743 grams.

The camera features a full-frame Exmor RS stacked CMOS sensor with around 50.1 effective megapixels, combined with the powerful BIONZ XR image processor to produce high-resolution images with a wide dynamic range. Even in APS-C crop mode, it captures detailed 21 MP photos.

The new Real-time Recognition AF, enhanced by the AI unit, allows precise focus on humans with pose estimation (head and torso), and accurate tracking of animals, birds, insects, and vehicles. It also includes an “Auto” subject detection mode, removing the need to manually select tracking subjects.
