At the COMPUTEX 2025 Keynote, Qualcomm President and CEO Cristiano Amon confirmed that the company’s eighth annual Snapdragon Summit for this year will happen from September 23rd to 25th, 2025 a month ahead compared to last year.
He also confirmed that the company will introduce next-gen Snapdragon X Series including the successor to the Snapdragon X Elite flagship PC chipset which was introduced back in 2023.
The company should also introduce the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) as the successor to last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite that uses Qualcomm’s Oryon core. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, it will use TSMC N3P, and the GPU performance will be significantly improved.
Phones powered by the chip such as Xiaomi 16 series should be introduced by the end of September to compete with Apple iPhone 17 series that should arrive in early September. iQOO 14, OnePlus 15, HONOR Magic8 series and more devices should be powered by the chip.
