LG rolls out world’s first 27″ and 45″ 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitors

LG Electronics will showcase its latest UltraGear OLED gaming monitor series (models 27GR95QE and 45GR95QE) at CES 2023. Earlier this year, LG unveiled its UltraGear 240Hz Curved OLED Gaming Monitor and UltraFine Display Ergo AI.

The new UltraGear monitors feature the world’s first 240Hz OLED screen, which is exclusively manufactured by LG, as well as outstanding self-lit picture quality with true, vivid colours and endless contrast.

27-inch OLED Gaming Monitor (27GR95QE)

LG’s UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (model 27GR95QE) features QHD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms (GTG) response time for low-latency gaming. It spans 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum, ensuring bright graphics that capture game designers’ vision.

The monitor’s anti-glare and low reflection (AGLR) display makes it simpler to see what’s on screen regardless of ambient light. LG’s 27-inch UltraGear is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC, FreeSync Premium, and VESA Adaptive Sync. It also has a variable refresh rate (VRR).

It supports HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 4-pole headphone connector for DTS Headphone:X. The bundled remote has customizable hotkeys for convenient display manipulation.

45-inch Curved OLED Display (45GR95QE)

LG’s first 45-inch curved OLED gaming display has a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution. It’s the first 45-inch panel with 800R curvature, a novel form factor meant to enhance gaming. The matte anti-glare and low-reflectivity OLED panel of the curved UltraGear monitor is easier on the eyes than a typical LED panel, so players may play longer with minimal eye pain.

The 45GR95QE’s curved OLED panel has a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and 98.5 percent DCI-P3 coverage, creating vibrant colours, deep blacks, and crisp pictures that bring onscreen action to life and heighten the player’s focus. 45-inch model boasts less than 0.03 ms GTG reaction time and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The 45GR95QE OLED gives ultimate gaming immersion.
