Apple releases iOS 11.0.1 for iPhone and iPad, includes bug fixes and improvements

Apple has rolled out iOS 11.0.1 update for iPhone and iPad that includes several bug fixes and improvements. This comes after some reports about issues with the iOS 11 including battery drain and slow downs. The latest update should provide smooth experience and potentially help with battery life. The update is also said to bring  improvements for iMessage App Explorer and Springboard.

Last week Apple released its major iOS 11 update that brought new Files app, Enhanced Siri, Voice Translation, Unified Control Center and is the biggest release for iPad ever and adds powerful new multitasking features and more ways to use Apple Pencil.

The iOS 11.0.1 (15A402 | 15A403) update is about 280MB in size and is already available over-the-air (OTA). It is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 2 and later and iPod touch 6th generation.

Developers and public beta testers running iOS 11 will have to remove the beta profile from Settings, General, Profiles and reboot to check for the latest software update.
