Google will introduce the next generation Pixel smartphones – Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 later this year. We recently saw renders of both the phones followed by an image that showed off front and back of the Pixel 2. Now, a couple of live photos of the Pixel 2 have surfaced thanks to GSMArena.
As per the live photos, the Pixel 2 sports huge bezels on top and bottom which is disappointing to see, especially at a time when flagships like Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6 feature an end-to-end display. Up next, the phone still has rounded corners but the shape is now more rectangular. The front facing stereo speakers are also seen at the top and bottom. As mentioned earlier Google is ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone which is disappointing.
On the back the glass window has been reduced, so the fingerprint sensor is outside the glass, as seen in earlier renders. A single camera sensor is seen on the top left along with the dual-LED flash. The tipster claims that the phone feels much better in-hand compared with last year’s Pixel phone. It must be noted that the phone in these images are dev units and some design tweaks are possible before the final release.
