BSNL slashes 3G data pack rates, now offers 3G data at Rs. 36 per GB

State owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced that it is now offering up to 4 times extra 3G data at Rs.36 per GB with existing STVs in the market to compete with other operators, including Reliance Jio.

Rs. 291 STV now offers 8GB data compared to 2GB and comes with a validity of 28 days. The affordable Rs. 78 STV now offers double the data, which is 2GB and comes with a validity of 5 days. BSNL says 3G data at Rs. 36 per GB is lowest in the industry.

These packs are available across India starting from today, February 6th.

Commenting on the latest move, R.K. Mittal, Director (CM), BSNL Board said:

We are committed to provide to affordable mobile services for all segments of the prepaid mobile customers.These offers will be valid from February 6, 2017.
