Facebook had acquired MSQRD video filter app in March earlier this year. The social network is finally putting the acquisition to use as it has started testing a new feature that puts a camera at the top of News Feed, allowing users to add filters to their selfies.

Facebook is currently testing the Snapchat like feature in Brazil and Canada. When you open the app for the first time you will have to tap to enable your camera following which your camera will automatically be visible as soon as you open the app. Users in Brazil and Canada are getting the ability to Olympics-themed face filters and post them directly to their profile. Similar to Snapchat, Facebook’s new camera first feature will have filters and face-altering lenses you can overlay on top of what the photos you capture.

The latest test comes from Facebook only days after Instagram rolled out Instagram Stories which is just like Snapchat Stories.  Facebook is testing the latest camera feature on Android and iOS in Canada and on iOS only in Brazil.
