The move which is the first one since Pichai took helm at Google, includes promoting three vice-presidents to higher roles at the company. First up, Neal Mohan, vice president of display and video advertising has now been promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP) of those two categories. Mohan has been involved with Google’s videos and YouTube business since it acquired his company DoubleClick in 2007. The Re/code report states that he is an in-demand advertising exec and Twitter and Dropbox had tried to poach him on separate occasions. Mohan will report to Sridhar Ramaswamy, the SVP of ads and commerce.

Hiroshi Lockheimer is moving up from VP of Android to SVP of Android, Chrome OS and Chromecast. Previously, Lockheimer was vice president of Android. A Google engineer since 2006, Lockheimer had shifted to more business responsibilities for Android since the reorganization. Finally, Google ad exec Phillip Schindler has been named as the company’s SVP of Global Sales and Operations.
