Asus ZenPad 7.0 and Audio Cover Unboxing

Asus launched the ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad 7.0 at the Zenfestival in India back in August. The ZenPad 7.0 went on sale yesterday, here we have the unboxing the tablet and the audio cover CA71 for the tablet. Check out the video.

The Asus ZenPad 7.0 has a 7-inch (1280×800) HD IPS display. The 3G version that was launched in India is powered by Intel Atom x3-C3230 quad-core 64-bit processor with Mali-450 MP4 GPU, packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory and has an expansion slot that accepts cards up to 64GB. It runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Zen UI on top and has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has an earpiece for voice calling capability that also houses the loudspeaker with DTS HD support.

It is just 8.7mm thick and weighs 272g. It has an 8-megapixel auto focus camera on the back and also comes with a removable back cover, but the 3450mAh battery is not removable. The Asus ZenPad 7.0 also comes in Obsidian Black color and is priced at Rs. 11,999.

The ZenPad 7.0 Audio Cover CA71 attached to the back of the tablet, replacing the back cover. It has six speakers (Main x 4, Center x 1, Subwoofer x 1) that promises 5.1-channel surround sound experience. As the name indicates, it also cover the display of the tablet to prevent it from scratches and also acts as a stand for comfortably watching videos. It weighs 211 grams and comes in Black and White colors.

Apart from the audio cover, the box has an accessory that needs to be attached to charge it and a user guide.

The audio cover has a 2300mAh non-removable battery and promises up to 6 hours of battery life. The Asus ZenPad 7.0 with the audio cover is available for Rs. 14,999. We will bring the benchmarks, gaming and the complete review of the tablet soon.
