Motorola Moto X Play coming to UK on August 25, pricing revealed

Motorola introduced the Moto X Play smartphone earlier this week. The company did not announce the price of the smartphone at the event, but online retailer Clove UK has started taking pre-orders for the smartphone and also announced that it will go on sale starting from August 25th in the UK.

The Moto X play packs a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 ( 4 x 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.7 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU with 2GB RAM and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It has a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE support, comes in 16GB or 32GB memory variants, has expandable microSD slot (up to 128GB) and packs a 3630mAh battery that promises up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed use.

The Motorola Moto X Play 16GB variant is priced at 265 GBP including VAT ( US$ 412 / Rs. 26,480 approx.), 220 GBP excluding VAT. ( US$ 342 / 21,980 approx.). No details about the pricing or availability of the 32GB variant. As Motorola already announced at the event, the Moto X Play will roll out in 55 countries across Europe, Latin America, and Canada starting from next month. It is expected to roll out in Asia later this year.
