Periscope for Android now lets you view recent broadcasts from a profile

Twitter’s Periscope for Android has received its third update (v1.0.3) that adds option to view someone’s profile for live and recent broadcasts from the past 24 hours and also lets you share them to Twitter easily. Previously, clicking a profile just showed option to follow or unfollow a person and their follower/following count. This is already available for iPhone. This update also brings in-app notifications for live broadcasts for users running on Android Lollipop.

Periscope for Android was launched in May and it received the first 1.0.1 update soon after the launch to fix several issues. Last month’s Periscope update for Android v1.0.2 brought option to enable sound and vibrate notification, watch your personal broadcast history and more features. Check out the changelog for the latest update.

New features in Periscope for Android v1.0.3

  • Go directly to someone’s live and recent broadcasts from their profile
  • Share live and replay broadcasts to Twitter
  • For Lollipop users: in-app notifications for live broadcasts
  • Bug fixes and improvements

Download Periscope for Android from the Google Play Store, if you don’t have it yet.
