After curved screens, looks like bezel-less is the new display trend as now even Meizu appears to want to jump onto the bandwagon. The renders for the upcoming Meizu flagship, the MX-5 shows a device with bezel-less screen.

The renders show that the device has absolutely no side bezels whatsoever. Whether it actually is bezel-less or whether it has got to do with the way the glass is used on top we don’t know. But either way, the device does look quite stunning. Apart from the good looks, bezel-less designs allow manufacturers to cram bigger displays onto smaller bodies and it also gives you a more natural experience when swiping sideways. The downside however is that the glass is more exposed as it is at the edge and could mean it is easier to break.

The MX5 is rumored to have a metallic build and will be powered by an Octa-core Meditek MT6795 processor. The rear camera will have infrared AF, similar to the ones found on LG flagship phones. The phone is also said to have a fingerprint sensor either on the home key or at the back like the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. The design shown in the render might not be the final design we see in the MX5 but still gives us a glimpse on what to expect.
