There was a time when Motorola phones had the smartest hardware with their sharp metallic hues and super slim flip styles (remember RAZR series). We forgot all about them after Moto moved out of India. The new Moto X brings back that stylish aura of its predecessors. It has a slim curved design that will set it apart from all other android devices, in its category. The new Moto X is slim and is perfectly curved for the palm and pocket. Here’s a first hands on feel of the device.

The new Moto X has a 5.2” AMOLED, 1080p Full HD, 423 ppi, Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Front camera can take up to 2MP pictures and is also capable of 1080p HD video recording. Speakers are placed at bottom of touch screen. Matte finish back, sports a 13MP camera with dual LED circular flash.

The second generation Moto X weighs a mere 144 gms with a 2300mAh battery. It’s width, height and curve measure, 72.4mm, 140.8mm, 3.8-9.9mm, respectively. Buttons are placed on one side spine. Power and volume controller are on same side.

Top side has nano SIM tray and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Bottom side has the micro USB charging slot.

Metal ribbon frame surrounds the thin body, to add sturdiness.

This new Moto X version has back covered with Horween leather and surely feels great to hold. Moto will also bring the FSC certified wood back Moto X, too, to India.

The new Moto X has a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 578 MHz. Moto will launch the new Moto X with the 16 GB variant and 2GB RAM. It flaunts the latest Android version 4.4.4 Kitkat. The new Moto X will be on sale on Flipkart, by the end of this month. Price for the device in India will be disclosed, soon.
