LG introduces world’s first 65-inch UHD rollable OLED TV

LG Display has introduced worlds first 65-inch UHD rollable OLED TV at the CES 2018. This comes four years after its first 18-inch OLED screen. Last week it introduced world’s first 88-inch 8K OLED display.

The new 65-inch UHD rollable OLED display can be rolled up and hidden when not in use so that it can be easily moved and stored, allowing for better space utilization. LG says that it offers bright, high-resolution content.

The company has also introduced new Crystal Sound OLED displays from the current 2.1 channel sound to 3.1 channel sound that makes sound emanate directly from the panel.  The Crystal Sound technology enables the display surface itself to emanate more realistic, richer sound than speakers can.

This has also been expanded to LCD products such as notebooks and monitors. LG Display said that it will first incorporate this technology into gaming products, and will thereafter provide solutions tailored to the characteristics of each product category.

LG Display will showcase all these new products at the Las Vegas Convention Center during CES 2018 this week.
