Telegram 4.1 expands Supergroups member limit to 10,000, brings new tools for admins

telegram supergroup

Telegram has increased the Supergroup member limit to a whopping 10,000. This means that a single group can now have 10,000 members at once. The latest update that bumps the app to version 4.1 is also adding new features for Supergroup admins and users.

With the latest update users and admins can use search to find specific users among them. Admins can also search for members in their channels. Considering the huge 10,000 member Supergroup, Telegram has added a couple of moderation tools as well. They can now add new administrators with specific sets of privileges and choose who among your trusted admins will be able to add new users, manage messages, block members, edit group info, or even add new admins.

In addition, admins who don’t want to completely ban members from their supergroups can now partially restrict their rights. They can now put nasty users into read-only mode or maybe stop them from sending stickers or media for a certain period of time. The update adds “Recent Actions” section to the admins page that will store a log of all service actions taken in the group in the last 48 hours and is visible to admins only.
