WhatsApp for iPhone updated with albums, filters and reply shortcut

WhatsApp v2.17.30 for iPhone Albums

WhatsApp has updated its iPhone app with a bunch of new features. The update which bumps the app to version 2.17.30 brings albums, filters and reply shortcut to iPhone users.

Now when you send or receive a collection of five or more photos or videos, they will automatically be grouped together as an album, creating a tile display within your messages. When you tap on the album, you will see the collection of photos and videos in full-screen. WhatsApp is now moving into the filter game and lets you add filters to your photos, videos, and GIFs right within the WhatsApp camera. You will have to swipe up to select a filter after taking or selecting a photo or video that is already on your phone. There are a total of five filter that you can choose from including pop, black and white, cool, chrome, and film.

Finally, the update makes it easier to reply to a message. You can now simply swipe right on any message and start typing your response.
