Apple introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones earlier this week. As usual, Apple did not reveal any details about RAM in these phones, now Geekbench listing has revealed 3GB of RAM for the iPhone 7 Plus, as rumored earlier. This makes it the first iPhone to come with 3GB of RAM.

These new iPhones have Apple’s custom A10 Fusion SoC that has two high power cores for tasks that need maximum performance, and other two low performance cores for simpler tasks. Apple already said that the  slower cores will consume one-fifth the power of the high performance cores.

The listing also reveals that the two bigger cores are clocked at 2.23 GHz. The smaller cores will be clocked at 396 MHz, according to a recent Geekbench listing of iPhone 7 that also has the same processor. It also revealed 2GB of RAM for iPhone 7.

More RAM in the bigger iPhone 7 Plus model will be useful since it has dual rear cameras and uses software methods for new zoom and depth-of-field features.

Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in over 25 countries today. It will ship in these countries starting from September 16th, Friday. These phones will launch in India on October 7th.
