WhatsApp beta for Android lets you quote messages while replying

WhatsApp 2.16.118 Quotes and Replies

WhatsApp beta app has been updated to version 2.16.118 which brings a new message quotes feature. The update allows users to quote somebody’s message at the time of replying.

You will have to select a message that you want to reply to following which a pop up reply button will appear. After tapping that button typing your reply, simply hit send and your message will be sent along with the message you replied to, which will be quoted. The feature also works in one-on-one chats as well as group chats. The quoted message shows inside the box with a preview.

The feature will be more useful during a group chat as participants can address specific person while replying. People on the group or the recipients will be able to know which messages are actually being referred to. The message quote feature works for text, photos as well as videos. WhatsApp beta tester so that you can download it directly from the Google Play Store.

Earlier this week, it was reported that WhatsApp is soon getting GIF support.
