LG Launches it’s 1st Fixed Mobile Convergence Phone


LG today announced the KH3900 JoyPop. It is the company’s first FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) phone.

For those of you who don’t know what Fixed Mobile Convergence is, here is the explanation. Fixed Mobile Convergence makes use of your Wi-Fi connection at home and allows you to make calls to and from the device using the connection.

The device thus allows you to make free calls when at home by acting like a landline connection but at the same time, it can be used as a proper mobile phone on the move. This facility is extremely useful as you can save a lot on the phone bills while at home.

The phone is also quite stylish and packs the following features:

  • 14.4mm Thickness
  • 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth, eWallet
  • Large Hi-Resolution Screen, External Dot Matrix Screen
  • Various Colours
