HTC Hero 2.1 Update Delayed


HTC Hero in European region will now have to wait for 2 more weeks for the Android 2.1 upgrade.This update which has been long anticipated by customers was supposed to get released yesterday i.e. April 4, 2010.

HTC stated that it will start rolling out updates for the European versions of HTC Hero on 16 April 2010 now. Also, it stated that the Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA Devices will get the upgrade first, followed by other versions.

However, HTC Desire, HTC’s newest device in the market, has already got an firmware upgrade now. To be delivered via Over the Air method, HTC has released a new ver. 1.15.405.4 software update.

There is currently no changelog of the new firmware, but it supposedly brings in a “improved user experience” with it. Do let us know below, if you have found anything new and interesting feature in the new firmware.
