The new Music app will have a completely new design that makes exploring music easy. Users can now personalize their playlist by adding their own image and description. With the recently added tab, albums and playlists that are recently added will now be present at the top of the library. iTunes Radio has been redesigned to put favorites in a more prominent position, and Features offers hand-curated lists as well as those drawn from your listening habits.

There are improvements to “Now Playing”, such as a new design and the ability to trigger AirPlay streaming without moving away from “Now Playing”. Also included is the addition of the new MiniPlayer, that shows what is playing and control playback while browsing your music collection. “Up Next” allows users to see what song is going to play next with a tab and even lets you reorder, add, or skip songs. Finally, the update adds Global search that lets you search music.
