Motorola Quench Announced!

Motorola have announced the Quench. It is basically an Android powered smartphone that is considered to be a QWERTY less version of the Moto DEXT. It will be known as the CLIQ XT in USA.

The interesting thing about the phone is that it uses Swype for on-screen typing ie it uses finger sweeps. It’s feature list is as follows:

  • 116.8 x 60 x 12.4 mm, 130g
  • Android 1.5
  • 3.7″ Touchscreen (320*480 resolution)
  • Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor
  • Moto BLUR UI with Widgets, Touchpad
  • microSD Card Slot( Cards upto 32GB, 2GB Card Included)
  • GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, DLNA, HSDPA, Bluetooth 1.5 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0
  • 5 Megapixel Camera with Autofocus, Geo-tagging and HVGA video recording at 24 FPS

It is expected to be released in the 1st quarter of 2010. Price is still un-announced.
