SwiftKey, Swype and more third-party keyboards now available for iOS8

Apple today released iOS 8 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The latest operating system from the company brings in an array of new and improved features. One such key feature is support for third party keyboards. A range of keyboards have landed on iOS today as soon as the company has allowed users to choose a different keyboard rather than its native one. Here are some the apps that can be userd for your iPhone and iPad.

  1. SwiftKey Keyboard (Free):

One of the most popular Android keyboards, SwiftKey had announced recently that it will come to iOS 8. The popular feature of the app is that it learns about your typing habits and starts to predict what you are about to type. It comes with colorful skins, emoji, and multiple keyboard layouts. The app can be linked to your Evernote, Contacts, Gmail, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

  1. Swype ($0.99):

This third party gesture based keyboard app lets users swype their fingers across the keyboard to create words. Owned by voice dictation company Nuance, Swype allows users to dictate emails or messages instead of typing. The app provides five themes to spruce up your keyboard. It supports English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German languages.

  1. Minuum ($1.99):

Popular for giving the ability for a user to adjust their keyboards, Minuum is the next keyboard available for iOS8. It allows grouping of keys into separate buttons thereby saving screen space.

  1. Fleksy ($0.99):

Similar to SwiftKey, Fleksy is also famous for its predictive typing features. The app’s software termed as ‘Geometric Intelligence’ is designed to account for a lot of inaccuracy and is touted as a ‘fastest keyboard’. It supports 40 languages and also has lot of colourful themes and emojis.
