Samsung Chromebook 2 series with Exynos 5 Octa Processors announced

Samsung has announced its Chromebook 2 series that includes a 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch models. The 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook 2 has a 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) display and the 13.3-inch model has a 13.3-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD display with 250 nits brightness. Both these Chromebooks are powered by a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processors, unlike some Chromebooks that are powered by Intel Celeron processors.

The Chromebook 2 13.3-inch is powered by a faster 2.1 GHz Exynos 5 Octa chip (probably Exynos 5422). These have stitched leather-like design on the outside, similar to the Galaxy Note 3.

The 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook 2 comes in Jet Black and Classic White colors and is priced at an MSRP of $319.99. The 13.3-inch Samsung Chromebook 2 comes in comes in Luminous Titan Gray color and is priced at an  MSRP of $399.99. Both these Chromebooks would be available in the U.S. in April 2014.
