Micromax Canvas LapTab Hands On

Micromax, the popular Android smartphone manufacturer in India, has stepped into a much bigger and broader category of products in CES 2014. Micromax announced their arrival into the Laptop niche with a very interesting product. At CES 2014, Micromax unveiled the Micromax Canvas LapTab which can be used both as a laptop and a tablet and runs both Android and Windows 8.1 Pro. We went hands on with the device and you can check out the video right below.

The Micromax LapTab runs both Windows 8.1 as well as Android 4.2.2 Jellybean to offer the users the best of both worlds, so that you can boot into either OS easily. Micromax LapTab comes with a 10.1inch IPS display sporting a resolution of 1280×800. Micromax LapTab is powered by Intel Celeron N2805 processor that is clocked at 1.46GHz and there is 2GB of RAM. The internal storage is 32GB and it can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. There is also a 2MP camera on the front for video calling.

Being both a tablet and a laptop, it is equipped with connectivity options that includes WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0. It is powered by a huge 7400mAh battery that should serve the purpose of a tablet quite well. The pricing of the device is yet to be announced, but Micromax is expected to sell the device from February.
