Micromax A115 Canvas 3D images leak

Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD, the company’s latest flagship back in January. It was originally priced at Rs. 13990, but they increased the price of the device to Rs. 14,499 few weeks back. We even saw the phone in a new packing, and a matt finish rather than the glossy finish. According to some alleged shots from a Twitter user MMXNewscaster, Micromax is working on the A115 Canvas 3D, which is in the final stage of development. This doesn’t come with a stereoscopic 3D display, but renders images in 3D form, as you can see in the image above.

According to the MMXNewscaster, the phone would come with a 5-inch WVGA (800 × 480 pixels) display, dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor , 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. It would run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, similar to the A116 Canvas HD. Unlike the other 3D phones, the LG Optimus 3D, the Optimus 3D Max and the HTC Evo 3D, this has a single camera, hence would not record videos in 3D. However, it renders images in 3D form.

Both the HTC Evo 3D and the Optimus 3D were priced over Rs. 30,000 at the launch, and the Optimus 3D Max was launched slightly below Rs. 30,000. These phones didn’t do well in the market, even after several price cuts. If this is true, we can expect the Micromax A115 3D at a competitive price tag soon.
