Samsung Galaxy Young Hands On

Part of Samsung’s entry level Android phone range, the Samsung Galaxy Young sports a 3.27 inch display with  a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The capacitive display is multi touch capable.

Inside you can find a 1Ghz processor paired with 768MB of RAM.

We weren’t too impressed by  the responsiveness of the phone. The TouchWiz UI layer seems slow and laggy. Samsung has provided 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded by using memory cards up to 64GB in size.
The back of the phone sports a 3MP camera. There is no LED flash.
The top of the phone has a 3.5mm jack. The handset itself is pretty thick but that is par for the course for a device in this category.
The front of the phone has two capacitive buttons while a physical button corresponding to the menu key is centrally located.
The phone is powered by a 1300 mAh battery. The phone will also be available in  a dual SIM variant which will have an always feature allowing you to forward calls from one SIM to the other. The phone will ship in white, blue, red and metallic silver colors.
