BlackBerry 10 launching worldwide on January 30th 2013

RIM has just announced that the BlackBerry 10 would be launched simultaneously in multiple countries at separate events around the world on 30th January 2013. RIM showed off first BlackBerry Dev Alpha device running BlackBerry OS 10 back in May, and they revealed the Dev Alpha B in September with lot of new features and improvements. BlackBerry 10 got FIPS 140-2 US government security certification last week.

RIM has also announced that they would unveil their first 2 BlackBerry 10 smartphones at the event. BlackBerry 10 phones would come with new UI with features such as BlackBerry Flow, including a live view of apps in a grid on the main screen called Active frames and BlackBerry Hub that combines messages, notifications, feeds, and calendar events, all at a single place that could be accessed with swipe up and left swipe gestures. It would also include a better keyboard that adapt according to how you type. The BlackBerry Balance technology would let you secure both the work and personal information easily.

January 2013 is just couple of months away. Let us wait and see what BlackBerry 10 Smartphones has to offer to compete in the Smartphone market.
