REGMAGIC has introduced its latest e-sports flagship, the REGMAGIC 12 Pro+ as it had promised. The brand also introduced a special edition model, the “REGMAGIC 12 PRO+ GOLDEN SAGA Limited Edition,” configured with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Design and Display
The REGMAGIC 12 Pro+ retains the manufacturer’s mecha aesthetic and transparent back paneling. The chassis incorporates a flat rear profile engineered for horizontal handling, paired with an integrated lens cover designed for scratch resistance and light transmission.
The rear enclosure exposes the integrated dual-ring water cooling loop, complemented by a central RGB light ring. It comes in Deuterium Transparent Night, Deuterium Transparent Silver Wing, and Deuterium Transparent Ice Blue colors.
On the front, REGMAGIC collaborated with BOE to produce a true full-screen display utilizing ninth-generation under-display camera technology. The panel features 0.96mm bezels, an industry-first 185Hz native refresh rate (backward compatible with 165Hz), and is powered by an independent G1 display chip built on a 22nm process alongside X11 luminescent material.
Touch response is handled by a Synaptics Byrd touch controller running the MagicTouch 4.0 algorithm, delivering a 500Hz global touch sampling rate and up to a 5,000Hz instantaneous rate. The display integrates SGS-certified Star Shield Eye Protection Technology 2.0. A 16MP under-display camera assisted by anti-glare algorithms handles biometric authentication, video calling, and selfies.
Processing Hardware and Performance Metrics
The device runs on a dual-chip configuration comprising the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 — manufactured on TSMC’s 2nm process with peak clock speeds of 5GHz—and REGMAGIC’s proprietary Red Core R5 co-processor. The main platform reports an AnTuTu benchmark score of 5,670,006 alongside an official 44% increase in GPU performance. The secondary R5 processor manages touch input calibration, lighting effects, frame tracking, and display upscaling.
On the graphics processing side, REGMAGIC introduced full-scene ray tracing support across six initial titles, capable of operating concurrently with super-resolution and frame-generation features. The platform enables 185Hz gameplay in CrossFire: Mobile, concurrent 2K+185Hz enhancement in 10 titles, and general frame enhancements across more than 200 titles. Additionally, an updated REGMAGIC PC emulator provides integration with Steam Workshop, customizable keymaps, and achievement tracking, demonstrating sustained outputs of 60.1 FPS in Tomb Raider 9 and 120 FPS in Far Cry 3 under Ubisoft-certified testing.
The REGMAGIC 12 Pro+ has also been designated as the official tournament device for five competitive circuits, including the League of Legends Mobile Super League, Dark Zone Masters, CFML Professional League, CODM Masters Cup, and QQ Speed Mobile S League.
Thermal Management and Power Architecture
Heat management is driven by the ICE Magic Cooling System, combining active mechanical air cooling and liquid cooling components:
- Air Cooling: A Wind Chaser 5.0 fan operating at up to 25,500 r/min, utilizing a magnetic levitation bearing and IPX8-rated water resistance.
- Liquid Cooling: A dual-crystal micro-pump (130kPa output pressure, 20mW consumption) moving fluorinated dielectric fluid through a dual-ring channel with an operational range between -60°C and 108°C.
- Passive Materials: A Liquid Metal 4.0 composite interface, 4D Ice-Step vapor chamber, and ultra-thin aerospace steel graphene layers.
The device measures roughly 8.5mm in thickness and houses an 8,400mAh battery. Charging options include 120W wired fast charging compatible with PD, PPS, QC, and DCP standards, 80W wireless charging, and direct bypass charging to reduce thermal strain during extended sessions.
Controls, Software, and Additional Hardware
For input and audio, the REGMAGIC 12 Pro+ features 700Hz capacitive shoulder triggers with micro-motion feedback and dual 1115E symmetrical stereo speakers. Wireless connectivity includes dedicated gaming network acceleration algorithms designed to lower jitter and latency.
The smartphone runs REDMAGIC OS 12, which integrates the Magic Island notification interface, an updated AI assistant, cross-application memory tools, contextual AI writing and transcription features, and “One-Touch Transfer” file compatibility with Apple iOS devices. The bundled HyperGen Gaming Space and X Gravity Platform 3.0 support peripheral mapping, 8K 60Hz / 4K 144Hz low-latency casting, and integrated training utilities.
