Sonodyne expands its audio lineup in India with the Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 wireless music systems, along with the SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 Dolby Atmos soundbars.
Sonodyne Bandish G2 and Malhar G2
Sonodyne developed the Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 using customer feedback and real-world listening experience following the launch of its first wireless home music systems in 2023.
Both models feature independent bass and treble controls. The Bandish G2 is a 2-way wireless music system rated at 120W, while the Malhar G2 is a 3-way system rated at 200W.
The updates cover sound reproduction, amplification, cabinet design and connectivity.
- Sound adjustment: Independent bass and treble controls let users adjust the output to their preferences and room acoustics.
- Transducer design: Updated transducers are intended to reproduce voices, instruments and effects naturally and clearly.
- Amplification and DSP: More powerful amplifiers and ear-tuned digital signal processing (DSP) provide additional headroom and improved dynamics.
- Movie Mode: This mode provides a wider soundstage for movies and parties.
- Cabinet construction: Rigid wooden enclosures help minimise cabinet resonance. Both systems also feature sculpted, curved cabinets.
- Controls and connectivity: Each system includes a full-function remote control and HDMI ARC for connection to compatible smart TVs.
Sonodyne SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000
Sonodyne entered the home theatre segment in 2025 with the SAMA 5000, a 3.1-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar. The new SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 expand the range with different channel configurations and speaker arrangements.
The three models have the following configurations:
- SAMA 6000: 5.1-channel Dolby Atmos
- SAMA 7000: 5.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos
- SAMA 8000: 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos
The new models feature updates to their transducers, amplification, subwoofers and sound controls.
- Sound balance: The enclosure, transducers and DSP crossover are tuned to improve frequency balance. The SAMA 8000 also provides independent surround-level adjustment.
- Transducers and channel separation: Updated transducer designs aim to reproduce dialogue, instruments and effects clearly, while the channel configurations provide separation between audio elements.
- Amplification and bass: Higher-power amplifiers provide additional headroom, while more powerful subwoofers handle low-frequency output.
- Surround and height channels: The SAMA 6000 uses side-firing drivers to widen the soundstage. The SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 include upward-firing channels, while the SAMA 8000 also comes with wireless surround speakers.
- Installation and connectivity: The slim soundbars can be placed on a shelf below a TV or wall-mounted. Each system connects to a compatible smart TV through a single HDMI eARC connection.
- Audio controls: All three models support subwoofer-level adjustment, while the SAMA 8000 also allows users to adjust surround levels independently.
