LG India has expanded its commercial display portfolio with the introduction of two new Micro LED offerings: the flagship LG MAGNIT Gen 2 and the LG MAGNIT Essential All-in-One (LASA) display.
Unveiled at the company’s 12th Grand Tech Seminar, the products target high-end corporate installations, control rooms, premium retail venues, and luxury residential settings.
LG MAGNIT Gen 2: Visual and Structural Architecture
The second-generation LG MAGNIT is built using modular Micro LED cabinets designed to connect seamlessly into custom aspect ratios and display sizes. Key technical updates center around optical performance, fault isolation, and installation workflow:
- Display Performance: The ultra-high-definition panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering improved grayscale rendering and contrast. A specialized front black coating deepens black levels, heightens color fidelity, and doubles as a protective layer against moisture, dust, and minor impacts.
- Line-to-Dot (LTD) Technology: Conventional LED architectures operate light sources linearly, meaning a single driver IC or pixel failure often disrupts an entire row or column. LG’s LTD mechanism isolates defects to individual pixels, preventing line-wide outages and minimizing visual disruption.
- Front-Access Alignment: Addressing a common logistical challenge in large LED video walls, the updated cabinets feature a patented front-access mechanism. Technicians can adjust cabinet alignment directly from the viewing face rather than toggling between the rear service corridor and the front, cutting setup time.
- Infrastructure Connectivity: The system incorporates optical fiber connectivity, allowing high-bandwidth, long-distance signal distribution without signal degradation.
LG MAGNIT Essential All-in-One (LASA)
Alongside the modular Gen 2, LG introduced a pre-configured solution aimed at organizations seeking large-format display capabilities with reduced deployment overhead.
- Form Factor: A 136-inch display (model LASA136) featuring Full HD resolution and a brightness rating of 600 nits.
- Integrated Hardware: Combines Chip-on-Board (COB) Micro LED panels with an embedded webOS media controller and integrated audio output.
- Serviceability: Fully front-serviceable to facilitate straightforward maintenance in standard meeting rooms and commercial spaces.
Both releases reflect a broader industry push toward Micro LED adoption, pairing fine-pitch visual clarity with modular deployment systems engineered to reduce labor-intensive alignment and servicing workflows.
