POCO just launched the POCO X8 Power 5G, targeting high-endurance performance in the upper mid-range segment, as it had promised. Centred on prolonged battery autonomy, structural resilience, and multi-year longevity, the handset brings top-tier specifications designed for power users and mobile media consumption.

Battery System and Fast Charging

The defining characteristic of the POCO X8 Power 5G is its high-capacity power architecture:

  • Battery Capacity: A massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 16% silicon content.
  • Charging Speeds: 100W HyperCharge fast wired charging, capable of delivering a full day of standard use in approximately 20 minutes, alongside 27W wired reverse charging.
  • Battery Health: Validated by TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance standards, retaining at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles—roughly equivalent to six years of typical daily operation.
Display

The front of the device is equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel reaching up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. Designed for responsive inputs, the screen features a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate alongside Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which maintains touch registration through water, oil, sweat, and foam.

Build

The device carries Five-Star Quality Certifications from SGS and TÜV and is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It also comes equipped with full extreme-durability certifications, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against high-temperature and high-pressure water washdowns.

Performance, Optics, and Software

Under the hood, the POCO X8 Power 5G is driven by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, supported by up to 16GB of combined RAM via dynamic memory expansion. Long-term device support is anchored by 4 years OS updates, 6 years of security updates and a certified six-year like-new software performance guarantee.

Audio playback is enhanced by an integrated speaker system offering an elevated 400% volume boost mode. Imaging capabilities support 4K 30fps video recording, true-to-life portrait processing, dual-video capture, and post-processing tools such as AI Glare Removal and AI Erase Pro.
