Apple has officially issued invitations for its upcoming special event scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The presentation will take place in person at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, as usual.
The invitation artwork features the tagline “Surprise and shine,” framed against a soft blue background with an ethereal, luminous Apple logo exhibiting subtle chromatic aberration and glowing lens-flare effects.
We can expect the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max and an all-new foldable iPhone at the event that will reportedly be named iPhone Ultra, along with the new Apple Watch Series 12 with a ceramic case option, two AirPods 5 models, and more.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max
The iPhone 18 Pro is said to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, a new 2nm A20 Pro chip, and upgraded LTPO+ display technology. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to feature a variable aperture camera and a larger 5,567mAh battery.
The iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to come in a new Dark Cherry color option. The standard iPhone 18 is not expected at the event and is now expected in spring 2027.
iPhone Ultra foldable phone
The iPhone Ultra foldable phone is expected to feature a pocket-friendly design, a durable hinge mechanism, iPad-like app layouts on the larger internal display and use the larger display as a camera viewfinder.
It reportedly will not include a telephoto camera, so it will lack the deeper zoom capabilities available on Apple’s higher-end iPhones. It is also not expected to come with Face ID and use Touch ID, similar to most foldable phones.
Prices of the new iPhone models are anticipated to increase due to rising component costs.

The in-person Apple event will begin at 10AM PT (10:30 IST) on September 9th and will also be streamed from Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park.
