POCO has officially launched the POCO M8x 5G in India as it had announced, expanding its entry-to-mid-range lineup with a focus on battery longevity, dedicated thermal management, new silicon, and extended software support.
Performance
The POCO M8x is the first smartphone in India powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, built on an energy-efficient 4nm process to deliver up to 43% faster app launches. The device utilizes LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage, supporting up to 12GB total RAM via 6GB of virtual memory expansion on the 6GB variant.
To maintain sustained performance, the phone integrates a multi-layer Triple Cooling System consisting of a 12,439 mm² ultra-large graphite sheet, a 1,924 mm² copper foil layer for critical component dissipation, and 3.5W high-efficiency thermal gel between the chipset and cooling layers.
Battery & Power Delivery
A 7,900 mAh battery delivers up to three days of runtime under typical usage. The phone supports 45W fast charging—delivering roughly a day’s charge in 30 minutes—and supports 22.5W reverse charging for powering other devices.
Display & Audio
The front panel houses a 6.9-inch HD+ 120Hz display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, holding TÜV Rheinland triple certifications for low blue light, circadian friendliness, and flicker-free output. Dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and 300% Ultra Volume Mode provide multimedia output.
Camera System
The rear module features a 50 MP AI main camera with 2x in-sensor zoom, paired with an auxiliary sensor, alongside an 8 MP front camera for video calls and selfies.

The POCO M8x 5G comes in green with a vegan leather back, cobalt blue and black colorways and is priced at Rs. 20,999 for the 4GB + 128GB model and the 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 22,999.
