Meta AI adds Facebook, Instagram, Meta Ads and Google Workspace insights for small businesses

Meta has introduced new Meta AI features for small businesses that can analyze Facebook and Instagram analytics, review Meta ad campaigns, compare business performance with similar brands, and work with Google Workspace data.

Businesses can connect their Instagram and Facebook accounts, Meta ad campaigns, and Google Workspace services, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, to Meta AI. This allows Meta AI to use information from these connected services in the same conversation when answering questions about a business.

Facebook and Instagram analytics

Meta AI can analyze organic Facebook and Instagram content using audience engagement data such as:

  • Reach
  • Saves
  • Shares
  • Comments
  • Profile visits

It can identify which types of content have performed well, explain what is resonating with an audience, and provide suggestions based on previous results.

Businesses can also ask Meta AI to analyze publicly available content and engagement patterns from comparable brands on Facebook and Instagram. This can provide insights into how those brands are building their presence on Meta, while allowing businesses to benchmark their own organic performance against similar brands.

Meta Ads analysis

Meta AI can review Meta Ads performance data to identify:

  • Which audiences are delivering results
  • Patterns in better-performing content
  • Ad creatives that are no longer resonating
  • Reasons why certain creatives are performing differently
  • Areas where advertising budgets could be used more effectively

Businesses can ask Meta AI to audit their ad performance over a selected period, compare their top-performing ad sets, identify common patterns, and suggest changes for a future period. The analysis can also be converted into a three-slide deck.

Google Workspace and file creation

Meta AI can use information from a business and the web to create:

  • Decks
  • Documents
  • Spreadsheets

Businesses can also set up recurring tasks and reminders to receive regular updates about their business performance.

By connecting Google Workspace services such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides with Facebook, Instagram, and Meta ad data, businesses can ask Meta AI questions using information from these sources within the same conversation.

Meta AI desktop app for Mac

The Meta AI desktop app for Mac allows users to share a window during a session and show Meta AI what they are working on. Meta AI can then provide advice based on the content displayed in the shared window. The Mac app also includes built-in dictation that works across apps on the Mac.

Business information and comparable brands

Businesses can ask Meta AI questions using information from their own accounts, including engagement and ad performance data. Meta AI can also use publicly available information about comparable brands on Facebook and Instagram for benchmarking and analysis.

Early feedback

Meta said businesses that tested the new features found the recommendations specific enough to act on because they were based on their own content, performance, and audience information rather than general advice.

Meta also provides other AI tools for businesses, including Meta Business Agent and Meta AI business assistant. The company has published a guide explaining how these tools fit alongside Meta AI and where businesses can use them for different types of insights and support.

Availability

The new Meta AI features are starting to roll out across meta.ai, the Meta AI mobile app, and the new Meta AI desktop app. Meta said it plans to introduce more capabilities, deeper integrations, and additional ways for Meta AI to support businesses in the coming months.
