Samsung x Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4: HDR10+ Gaming, 32:9 Ultrawide Support and more

Samsung has announced an exclusive hardware and display partnership with Activision for the upcoming first-person shooter title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

Under the agreement, Samsung will serve as the official TV, monitor, soundbar, and Wi-Fi speaker partner for the franchise’s next installment ahead of its worldwide release on October 23.

Technical Integration and Visual Features

The collaboration incorporates several display-focused optimizations directly into the game:

  • HDR10+ GAMING Support: The title will natively integrate HDR10+ GAMING standards to enhance contrast accuracy, dynamic range, and color rendering across supported displays.
  • 32:9 Ultrawide Optimization: Modern Warfare 4 includes official support for 32:9 super ultrawide aspect ratios, tailored for ultra-panoramic displays such as the Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor series.
Early Access, Livestreams, and Distribution

Samsung’s integrated gaming platforms will host several promotional rollouts leading up to launch:

  • Call of Duty: NEXT Broadcast: The showcase event will stream live through the Samsung Gaming Hub on August 21 at 9:00 AM PST.
  • Beta Access Distribution: Closed Early Access beta codes will be distributed via the Samsung Promotion app for testing between August 21 and August 25, preceding the Open Beta scheduled from August 28 to September 1.
  • Gamescom 2026 Showcase: Hands-on gameplay stations equipped with Odyssey displays will be hosted at Samsung’s booth during Gamescom in Cologne, Germany (August 26–30), alongside giveaways for Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition Battle.net game codes.

The partnership aligns Activision’s software rollout with Samsung’s broader connected hardware and cloud ecosystem, leveraging the Samsung Gaming Hub to consolidate broadcast viewing, app promotions, and display settings across its product lineup.
